Byron Booker

CEO and Founder, Roccstar Wireless

Visionary Leader in Entertainment, Technology, and Media Innovation Byron Booker’s journey is a testament to resilience, innovation, and faith. Born on March 22, 1974, in Dallas, Texas, Byron grew up with two brothers, fostering a deep understanding of family, community, and ambition. Byron attended Texas Christian University (TCU) for two years before graduating with a BBM from Dallas Baptist University (DBU). At just 22, while working at Moritz BMW in Arlington, Texas, he developed a groundbreaking program to print secure decals for temporary car tags. Selling this innovation for seven figures in 1999, Byron transitioned into entertainment by founding a music label with Tommy Quon, the legendary manager who signed Vanilla Ice. This partnership, along with Universal Music, allowed Byron to blend his passion for entertainment and technology.

In 2014, Byron founded Lookhu Inc., a multi-channel streaming platform that combines premium content discovery with connecting creators and fans. The name “Lookhu” reflects this mission, emphasizing connection and discovery. His work with Lookhu includes a landmark collaboration in 2022 with GPO Plus, Inc. (GPOX), a publicly traded company specializing in diversified Group Purchasing Organizations. Through this partnership, Lookhu enhanced GPOX’s revenue and brand exposure, producing celebrity-driven marketing content for their brands like Nutriumph® and Herberall®. (GlobeNewswire Article)

Byron also serves as a board member at Mobiquity Technologies Inc., where he provides strategic insights to drive growth and innovation. (Bloomberg Profile)

Byron’s journey has not been without challenges. In 2013, a deal with Cinsay, a now-defunct company, threatened to take control of his Recording Artists Guild (RAG), a global association he founded in 2009 to support indie artists. Despite the setback, Byron’s faith in God and perseverance ensured RAG’s survival, while Cinsay faded into obscurity.

With over two decades in the music industry, Byron has collaborated with icons like Chris Brown, Flo Rida, Rihanna, P. Diddy, Skylar Grey, Warren G, Brandy, Snoop and more. His consulting and song placements have enriched major films starring Cedric The Entertainer, Robert De Niro, 50 Cent, Nicholas Cage, Bruce Willis, Forest Whitaker and others.

In film distribution, Byron has spearheaded major theatrical releases across 1,000+ screens, collaborating with RCR Media and Bosch Media Corp, showcasing his expertise in exhibitor relationships, media strategy, and marketing.

Byron is a leader in live streaming, producing a record-breaking SXSW event in 2013 with over 300,000 concurrent streams, a first in the industry. He continued innovating in 2014 by partnering with Philip Nelson of NewTek, whose technology powers streaming for the NFL, NBA, and major broadcasters.
